Church Wilne Rotary Satellite was inaugurated on the 1st July 2020. The Satellite group is a semi-autonomous group within Church Wilne Rotary Club. The first Chair of the Satellite group is Rotarian Adrian Perkins who is a Past President of the main Club.

We are a new type of Rotary designed for those who want to 'give back' but may have limited time & finances.

Our regular meetings will normally be on the last Monday of each month, starting at 6.30pm. As we want meetings to be flexible though to reflect members lives and wishes, they may vary from time to time, with details always available on our 'web calendar' and Facebook pages.

All our fundraising and community work is voluntary, with the proceeds being donated to charities and other worthy causes. If you would like to get involved, please get in touch with our secretary at: cwrs.secretary@gmail.com

Parts of St. Chads Church, which is located at Church Wilne, date back to the 13th century. Although the club have no link with the Church of England, the Church outline has always been used as a logo for our club. Indeed, the central nature of the hamlet in relationship to our catchment's area gave rise to the Club's name.

We generally consider ourselves a Club that thinks local. This is mainly because of our location which is tucked away between the larger City/Town areas of Derby, Ilkeston and Long Eaton all of which have their own clubs. Each year, thanks to the generosity of our local population, we collect a substantial sum of money on our Christmas float week.  This is used exclusively for local benefit.

The approximate Area of Church Wilne Rotary Satellite is Ockbrook, south of the A52 running east along the A52 and south to Draycott, Church Wilne and north west to Spondon.
