July 2006 – Club official photo + hangers-on!

August 2006 – White water at Holme Pierrepont

September 2006 – the first Charity Horse Ride raised £2500 for Rainbows Hospice

December 2006 – International trip to Berlin sees members under the Brandenburg Gate. ,

December 2006 – Christmas Meal with wives – The Spice Girls present Cinderella

February 2007 – Presented £250 to up and coming Table Tennis player, Emma Vickers from

Borrowash. This sum was matched by the Sports Council to help her continue to improve.

(Incidentally, as of March 2010 Emma is Britains Under 21 Champion, came third in the Womens

Senior Championships and second in the Doubles – must be a cert for the 2012 Olympics!)

March 2007 – Our 22^nd Charter held at the Novotel, guest speaker Bill Pirie and DG David

Curtis in attendance, also pictured SVP Frank Dillon, RWR and JVP David Smith.

April 2007 - Thanks to the dedication and persistence of Martin Dowey, Richard Ransom

and Colin Orrick, Church Wilne were successful in setting up a First Responders

Group in the Ockbrook, Borrowash and Draycott area.

April 2007 – Our fifth Paul Harris Fellow – Colin Orrick

May 2007 - mentoring group set up at Friesland School by many of our newer members, to help the students with

mock interviews and CV’s.

May 2007 – Visit by Hinnerup to Church Wilne and environs!

June 2007 – Derbyshire County (Mud) Show

June 2007 – presentation of funds to Paula North of Rainbows Children’s Hospice

June 2007 – Presidential Citation – a first for the Club
