At the start of the Rotary year there were 47 Club Members

 

Meeting Venue  

The charity for the year was Guide Dogs for the Blind. The club raised £1,400 and we donated a dog to Mrs Kathy Hill pictured above. President Ken was President when the cheque was presented.

The Club hosted Group Exchange Student Peggy from Baton Rouge, Florida whilst she attended Nottingham University. Geoff Plant acted as her councillor for the year.

Graham won the District Golf tournament and is seen here with district Governor Ernest Pappin during the Governor's Club Visit.

The Club was honoured by a visit from Mr Kevin Hardes from Australia, a board member of Rotary International. This was the only club visit he made on his trip to England to attend District Conference.

The winners of the Club sponsored "Trolly Dash" starting their shop at Grandways supermarket, Borrowash. Tickets were sold in the area to raise money for club charities.

A cast Iron ornate litter bin donated by the club to the local parish council. The club donated £300 to help the fight against litter.
